Occupational Medicals

With reference to the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993, employees must be examined according to the risk that they are exposed to as well as job specification. Section 8 of the abovementioned Act stipulates the duties of the employer. Medical surveillance flows of the Risk Assessment as Regulation 8.

Our medicals team ensures that your employees are examined according to the risk identified. In doing this the employer then complies with legislation.

The following services, rendered by registered Occupational Health Practitioners under the supervision of an Occupational Medical Practitioner are as follows:

      • Vision Screening

      • Spirometry – Lung function screening (Not Available during COVID19 Pandemic)

      • Drug tests
      • Covid Rapid Tests

      Medical fitness certificates are issued according to post/job profiles, job specifications and medical examination. All fitness Certificates are signed by a registered Medical Practitioner.
